# MetaCourse — Frontend Info for Backend Setup

## Framework
Angular 20.3 (standalone components, no NgModule)
Ionic 8.8.4 (UI components)
Capacitor 8.3 (mobile wrapper — Android & iOS)

## API Base URL (currently hardcoded)
File: src/app/services/api.service.ts
Value: http://localhost:8080

## Auth
- No HTTP interceptor — tokens are NOT sent in headers automatically
- User info stored in localStorage under key: metacourse_user
- Format: { userId: string, name: string, email: string }
- No JWT implementation yet — backend can choose session or JWT

## CORS
Dev server runs on http://localhost:4200
Backend must allow that origin

## Expected API prefix
All endpoints are prefixed with /api
Examples: /api/users/login, /api/courses, /api/topics

## Data formats
- All requests/responses: JSON
- IDs: string (UUID expected)
- Dates: ISO 8601 string

## Error format expected by frontend
{ message: string }

## Environment files
No environment.ts files exist yet.
Backend should provide a base URL to hardcode or an environment file template.
